I have had my new Smart IX Ha for two days now. Theses are my first set I have ever owned and getting used to the devices are going very well except the dang zip ties that is supposed to hold them in your ears.
They are irritating and all I have to do is flex my ears and they pop out of my ears. The HA itself stays in place but the two plastic feelers still out both sides of my head. I feel like my favorite martin.
You may be abe to remove the “Kick Stands”, “Zip Ties” aka "Ear Grip ".
The Verite HA allow the removal of the Ear Grip, check with your Audi or Dispenser on removal, or wait a few days, keep putting them back in your ears and they will finally take shape and not pop out.
Uncle Martin could make magical things happen, can you?
I had the same problem and solved it with a “hi-tech” fingernail clipper. I chopped off the ends carefully until they actually fit in my ears. Be careful not to chop too much off. Try a little off at first.
Yes. The OP has Audeo Smart, those and the Audeo Yes the receciver retention slides over the body of the receiver. If you have a aid with thin tubes, the tube will need to be replaced.
Sometimes these can be inserted the wrong way about: this will cause them to be uncomfortable or you may not be inserting the tip of the aid deep enough.
However if you are having difficulty with the shape, they can be ‘formed’ much like the way a ribbon is ‘twirled’ on a present. If you pull them over your thumbnail while it is pressed into your index finger, you will establish some curvature - do it more times and you will stretch and curve the ‘sport-lock’ even further.
Nail clippers are fine also, just be aware that you can create a pressure point at the end of the shortened piece of material.
My clinic just chops off the whole thing for every patient now, cos they got fed up with people finding them difficult, so now all the replacement tubes I get have had the retention lock clipped off. Very annoying.
