Yes there is an optical connection. And a 3.5mm audio jack. So it would work fine on the computer. Or any audio source for that matter

When plugged into TVs optical connection, does it leave speakers on for others in the room to hear? I have the TV streamer for my KS10s which does leave speakers on, wondering if it works the same way. Also, when using the TV Play can you stream phone calls on iPhone or do you need the app to switch over and back again? Or turn bluetooth on/off on one device?
Yes, it does leave the TV speakers on.
When I added a soundbar to my TV I used an inexpensive optical splitter from Amazon and that works really well too
Is it possible to start and stop TV streaming from the app? It would be nice to be able to mute the constant ads at the same time as I mute ads for other listeners.
Yes I do that all the time on my Phonak. Widex does the same in the app
