YOUCH! That sounds abusive to disperse a crowd with DEAFENING blasts! Rubber bullets aimed at the eye are also a non-starter.

If they disobey lawful orders to disburse, don’t have much sympathy. If they broke into a building or were otherwise destructive, I think flash bang is mild when they barricade & etc.

No value judgments were solicited. A simple statement of fact was made.
I read somewhere that hearing loss was the leading reason for police disability claims. Flash-bangs are another contributor.
