Fitting software for Cosco hearing aids

I am interested in all 3 hearng aids (Jabra EP20, Philips 9050 and Rexton Reach) that will be offered by Costco in the near future, and would like to look at the fitting software for each of them.

As far as I understand, I can use Resound Smart Fit (which I already have) for the Jabra EP20. Is that true?

The Philips 9050 seem to require the HearSuite software, which I also have. How different is this from Oticons own software Genie 2? For example, Genie seems to allow different fitting formulas for different programs. Is this possible in HearSuite as well?

The Rexton Reach also seems to require its own software. How different is that from Signias software Connexx?

Anyway, I would appreciate if someone could provide a link to the Rexton specific software and user guides. I already have the Noahlink wireless.

You’ll see lots of differences in each manufacturers software, however when we compare rebranded from Costco we don’t other then in name, so you know about Jabra/resound, the Phillips we just don’t seem to be in agreement with which Demant brand it is, Sonic or Bernafon, Rexton is Signia so the same with different names; )

Thank you very much tenkan! That was fast

I’m told the answer is no for the Philips.
I don’t recall the post, but it was in the general forum.

Oticon Genie2 is the only one doing it for now.

Right, I’m using VAC+ for P1 and DSL V-5 for my P2 music program for my Mores.

So it seems the Jabras are the aids that are most compatible with the corresponding original (Resound Nexia). The only difference I have seen so far is that tinitus treatment is typically not activated by Costco but seems to be posible to activate in Smart Fit.

They are exactly the same, and it is definitely available in SmartFit for those that wish to use it, cheers

I currently do diy on my jabra enhanced pros. I’ll be getting the jabra 20 in august… since I’ve always had Resound and now Jabra, I’m also thinking about purchasing either the Rexton Reach, or Philips 9050 if/when available…

Could someone point me to the fitting software for Philips and Rexton?

Thanks.

Hi there, yeah that’s a good idea to check out what’s available in the software, Rexton and especially the Phillips Hearsuite is pretty easy to navigate.

Hi, I’m being fit with the Rexton Reach R-Li-T rechargeable HAs tomorrow. I would like to examine the user guide and fitting software. Please send links.

My strategy is to learn to tweak fitting adjustments on my backup aids for now (mainly to get them to match my current hearing tests), and only to view what my Costco specialist is adjusting on my new pair. Having the user guide and being able to take time to examine what specific adjustments have been made by her will improve my retention of the education I need to get the best fitting. That should make for a more successful collaboration between the two of us. Much later, I may make some adjustments myself, but not in the near future.

Hi there, Hi there, great your giving DIY a go, be sure to do some research and read the user guides before starting, you’ll need the Noahlink wireless programming device as well for your DIY projects, I think this is a good idea, DIY your backups and let your fitter sort your Reach models out, I believe over time you’ll end up adjusting everything yourself as only you know how you like to hear in all the different environments you’ll find yourself in, Connexx software is easy enough to navigate, a lot of it is self explanatory.

Thank you so much! I am looking forward to working on these.

Hi, Finally got a new computer to run the Fitting software on. For my Rexton Reach, I had made changes using Rexton Assist (with the user app) and thought my results were no longer as good as my Costco fitter, so asked her to restore to her last settings (after First Fit, REM, and some minor adjustments with her, including 6 programs (yes, I did want the six programs). That’s the background.

Installed Rexton Connexx that you sent, and wanted to get a snapshot of those base settings. My initial interest was to just browse the categories and options to get a better understanding of what is actually being programmed. But, in the installation, it asked me if I wanted the latest firmware update, and I thought that was the one to give me Auracast, which I’ve been dying to investigate. After the installation, my extra five programs were gone (I’ve since figured out how to add them back, though not sure if my fitter made any modifications after on any of them. I’m not sure if the settings were changed any other way, but it seems that Rexton Assist no longer is an option on my iPhone app. After some digging, I found that the option appears to be disabled under “Configuration” (on the left panel). Rexton Assist is the first option, but my ability to check the box is disabled.

My question is how do I get that ability back? Rexton’s AI Assist is why I choose Rexton. Do I need to do a First Fit to enable Rexton Assist? I have been reluctant as I always read & hear that one must do REM after First Fit and I do not have that hardware.

If you can educate and/or help me, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you,
-Theresa

Yeah it’s sometimes best to ask around on the forum before jumping in and making any changes/adjustments, now I always advise people to make 2 clients up in the software before doing anything, one to save your original audiology settings and one for your DIY projects, I have a feeling you simply haven’t ticked off the check box for this setting to be available in the App, so I think just hold up on doing anything else for now until you know exactly what you need to do, no point in going out on a fishing expedition now, another thing to remember is not to update firmware unless it’s absolutely necessary, however in your case if you wanted the LE Audio with Auracast firmware update then that’s something else, mind you surprising your fitter didn’t already do this for you as it’s been out a while now, do remember that if you make changes “after” REM then you’ll need to redo that as well ( if it’s actually that important to you, personally I wouldn’t bother with it) but anyways have another look around to see if you can find that setting for the Signia ooops I mean Rexton assist, I’ll check for you sometime later as I don’t have my laptop with me, cheers
