I have the Sonic HomeAware device that produces a strobe light in response to a regular alarm system. I would like to also install a smoke and/or C0 detector with an internal strobe light, ideally interconnected with other units throughout the house, so that I don’t need to be in the room with the HomeAware if there’s a fire elsewhere in the building. Also it seems more reliable to have the detectors be accessible themselves. However, the major US companies I can find, Kidde and First Alert, seem not to make these any more . I am looking for suggestions of products available in the US. Any advice?
Is the home wired for smoke/CO alarms? First alert makes a smoke unit that will respond the strobe. Is that what you want? The industry also makes interconnecting via wireless units, some Wi-Fi, not sure how the others connect, but no wiring needed. On the Wi-Fi one, you’re dependent on the Wi-Fi working.
