Phillips find-my-hearing-aid app locates lost hearing aid within 50 feet or so. I can still connect and see my lost hearing aid on the map, but I still cannot find. I can hear streaming music in my one remaining hearing aid but it shuts off when I take it out of my ear. IF there is a way to keep both of them on while out of ear, I would be able to hear it. Anybody know how???
. . . streaming doesn’t stop when you take it out of your ear.
On my month old Phillips it does stop. My wife can barely hear it when in my ear but then cannot when I take it out.
I take it back. I can barely hear it when out of my ear, so I guess this is no help unless I can get it louder, which might damage the device. Thanks anyway! And Merry Christmas.
my wife just came back. She can hear music from my aid when in my ear and volume is highest. When I take it out, she can then barely hear as the volume has gone way down. Not nearly enough to help in finding. BUT, if the app could keep the volume as loud when out as when in, then it would help. I will call Phillips tomorrow. Thanks so much for replying on Christmas!
Unfortunately, it’s probably something about how it’s leaking out of your ear that makes your wife able to hear it. Actual streaming volume shouldn’t change. Is it in your house somewhere? Do you have a very young, keen-eared relative?
I lost one in my house and I found it with the Find function. As well as the map, it has the visual locator and the written description. These are pretty accurate imho. When it says near, it is within 20 feet or so. And very near means that it is in the immediate vicinity, so look carefully and you will probably find it. Mine was under a corner of the washing machine in the laundry room on the way to the bathroom . . .
I deleted my address and I did not include the GPS map but you can see the indicators and the text description. Screenshot of my 9050s.
Does keeping Find my on reduce battery life of your aids? It can have a big impact on other devices such as Airpods.
Does the hearing app need to be open or running in background for it to log the last location?
Did you manage to find your hearing aid???
I just manually shut them off and it logged the last known house address as per gps. It looks like the close locator - far/near etc is shut off - when the HAs are off.
