Enhance Pro Claims Jabra 10s are Security Risk, Won't Connect

I’ve had a problem for the past year whereas once a week Enhance Pro will forget my Jabra Pro 10s and I have to go through the initial pairing process again. Today the app connects for the first pairing but stops at the second, saying that there is a security risk. I’ve tried the usual things like restarting my phone, changing the batteries, and reinstalling Enhance Pro, but still cannot get my aids connected. Any ideas?

Sell your Tesla?

Sorry, couldn’t resist

What phone? If it’s Android, can you update to a new release or do a clean install of the current one. Can you pair the EP10s to your phone’s BT?

My phone is a Pixel 7a. I already tried reinstalling Enhance Pro. I’m trying to pair my HA to my phone, but it won’t work.

What Android release? What Jabra Pro app release? If they’re old releases, update your OS and app. If you haven’t already sought help from Costco, I recommend doing so.

Also, if the HAs are partially installed on your phone, forgetting them may solve the problem.

I hope there’s something new to do in this post.

Android 15 and I know Enhance Pro is up to date because I deleted it and reinstalled it from the Play Store. I took my aids to Costco this morning, but they couldn’t get them to connect to my phone either.

They suggested calling Jabra support, but I tried all day and couldn’t get through.

Clear all data related to Bluetooth and the Jabra APP on your phone. After restarting your phone, try re-pairing. If pairing still fails, go to Costco and ask them to use the Resound SamrtFit software to clear all pairing memories of your hearing aids, and request them to check for any new firmware updates.

Do you have, or can you borrow, any other BT LE device? Does it pair with the phone. If it doesn’t pair, the phone is probably the problem. If the phone pairs with a different BT LE device, the HAs are probably the problem. Costco can probably do this test for you.

I downloaded Enhance Pro on my wife’s phone. It did pair with my aids, but took several minutes to do so. After it said great job and click start to pair with your aids, I waited over 2 minutes while the app kept spinning. I finally force stopped the app and opened it again. This time it spun for about 1 minute, but finally did connect and could stream music. So, is this conclusive for a problem with my phone?

This actually worked! Thank you, thank you!

I was hesitant to clear all BT data until I was done driving for the day because I will probably need to repair my Tesla key on my phone.

Yeah, it sounds like the usual legacy pairing issue.

I’ve had a few clients coming in recently where I’ve had to force stop the apps, then clear all the legacy pairings and re-run the pairing protocol again.

The main problem I get with restoring pairings on Android is that they don’t always appear to ‘catch’ on the first pass with some phone types. With Samsung and MFi devices, it seems like they make more than two separate connections.
