Earmolds making popping noise when I chew

My audi always has me open and close my jaw several times during the process. I think I would insist on new molds being made.

I have thought about having a new mold taken. When the putty was injected into my right ear, I had my mouth closed. Then the Audi remembered to tell me to open my mouth, which I did in a big way, to then being told only about 1 inch. When the left ear was done, the mouth thing was properly addressed from the start. I have always wondered if that right ear/mouth opening contributed to an ill fitting mold. After all, it is the only one that pops.

Thanks for sharing.

My experience has been that I don’t open and close the mouth until after the mold is injected into the ear. Then it’s kind of like a chewing motion but with the mouth open. Two or three times is usually enough. There’s no reason to open your mouth as wide as you can. Just the normal everyday motion
