Earmold lubricants: Auralgel vs Oto-ease?

For those of you using custom moulds/tips and use earmold lubricants, do you have any preference for oto-ease vs auragel and if so why do you prefer one over the other?

Please specify which earmold material you’re using (hard acrylic / soft silicone etc).

I ask because there’s a significant cost difference between the two products where I’m based and I’m curious as to whether the price difference is justified in terms of performance or if one type of lubricant is more suited to a particular type of earmold material vs another. There aren’t any other options on offer where I’m based.

Used vaseline or hand lotion would be fine. Just a small amount will do.

I read an article that said putting a thin film of water on a custom mold/tip would ease placement and then evaporate. There would be no incompatibility of materials that way.
