Ear Plugs for musicians

Earplugs that attenuate the loud but that let all the notes through to properly hear the music…

I understand that these exist but I have no experience with them…

So, not counting custom molded high-dollar items from an audiologist
which “over the counter” ear plug is considered to be a really good option for a musician?
specifically a person with normal hearing?

I went to a high school jazz band concert a few evenings ago with my high school daughter. She has friends in the band. As I was enjoying the show, I was thinking that I should add my days in the band when I was a kid as one of the causes for my hearing loss.
So for her friends…which earplugs would you suggest?

Etymotic ER20 earplugs. Before I got the fancy molded customs from the VA, I have bought at least three pairs of these. (I had one pair get run-over at a gas station, and I misplaced a pair, so I bought another, only to find the first, but be glad to have them all.)

There are others you can find & buy, but I have ~15 years’ experience with these. I haven’t tried the others.
