Hi I have bilateral phonak hearing aids. Paradise P90-RT and also phonak roger easy pen and table microphone for work. How do I know if my hearing aids have built in receivers to connect my roger devices. I’m hoping I don’t need receiver shoes again! I’ve googled but can’t find the answer. I would be grateful if someone could help please?
No more shoes with those! The Pen will work with your aids with the “internal” receiver. You need a receiver to connect the two though - the Roger installer does this if you have the Roger X receivers. Your audiologist should be able to help you pair them together.
Thank you. So glad I hated the shoes!
You need this machine to install the licenses from Roger X receivers which have serial numbers of 1744 or later.
Thank you. I have 2 x receivers 03 that show 2032. Hopefully my audiologist will have the machine?
Yes 2023 will be okay.
Be aware that you need to keep hold of the Roger X receivers (even tho they’ll be useless as Roger X receivers) because when the time comes to upgrading, you’ll want to get the licenses out of your current Aids via the same machine and into your new Aids.
I found you can order the Paradise aids with the Roger receivers, or your Audi can order them later and install them for you.
The Paradise Aids have Roger Direct in the Aids but you need either the Roger On iN device to install the licenses or to use the machine in the picture which the Audi can do.
Roger Direct will not work if you don’t do either of the two.
I picked up a pair of used Phonak P90 aids. When I connect them to Target, it shows that they have receivers installed in both.
Do some aids come from the factory with them installed in them?
So that means I can get a Roger select iN without the receivers/license ?
I think they must. I got Audeo P90Rs last September. When I was chatting on line with my audiologist, she said the Roger On would help and they shipped one right to the house. And it wasn’t an iN. I didn’t have to do anything different with it than I did with the TV Connector.

They don’t normally come installed, that is why there is a Roger On iN but as you picked them up used, it’s likely from the old owner.
The standard Roger Select will work apart from the Bluetooth on the standard Roger Select. It’ll make your Aids go crazy if you turn the Bluetooth on, on the Select.
Yes they do. My Roger was paired up with the P90’s and I could hear someone speaking with no other things necessary.
I purchased a pair of M90 two weeks ago, and liked them I am not sure if they had receivers in them when I got them … but after updating the firm ware they both had receivers in them.
Yesterday I received a pair of P90, that I found used on Ebay,
when I connected them to Target software they did NOT have receivers in them, but after updating the firmware they both have receivers loaded into them.
Both sets of aids are VA issued.
I got my Roger select iN today, used from ebay it had NO license/receivers in it.
It works perfectly with both the M90 and the P90
