Hi I have a nathos auto m in my right ear and i can’t seem to find any information as to if they have Bluetooth or not and if they do will i need to get my audiologist to turn the Bluetooth on as i’m Going to be making an appointment to get some adjustments done soon and was think about asking about buying a roger receiver and roger clip on mic for when i’m In super noise situations like when i’m at a family do as I come from a large family and if there are loads of people talking and having a conversation around me I can’t hear clearly what is being said and so i feel I can’t join in with the family conversation as i can’t make out what is being said . I can hear ok if i’m in a restaurant or something like that and someone is talking to me and there are like one or two other people there but if it is a situation where lots of people are talking at once and having a conversation I still find myself struggling. I had some adjustments done back in April for clarity of speech and to make the speech in noise setting louder in noisy environments ( and in i believe may they gave me a closed dome for my right ear ) I know that i want to get the noise blocker adjusted because of another problem i’m having with not being able to tell clearly what a sound is coming from if there are multiple things on at the same time like the tv and say a blender in the kitchen. So thought about asking if the audiologist thought that me buy a roger x and the roger clip on mic might help in those situations but released i don’t know if my hearing aid has Bluetooth and if so would it need turning on by the audiologist. I also have a cros 2 for my left ear and doe’s this have Bluetooth and would i need to get the roger x for that ear as well and get it turned on. Also for the roger clip on mic do you need the my link as well or is that not necessary.
This link to a manual on page 23 would suggest it is wireless capable, but it may be proprietary in format.
Thank you for the link to that i’m afraid that i didn’t quite understand it as it didn’t really help me about Bluetooth and if it needs to be activated by the audiologist in order for me to access the streaming abilities that it has so was hoping that someone would be able to say if the Bluetooth needs to be activated in order for me to access these features or if it is on from moment i got the hearing aids.
I think i kind of understand it now if i’m not wrong you either need the streamer to be able to stream from your phone etc to the the hearing aids or the roger X receiver or the body worn receiver and the clip on mic to be able to receive the sound you want and the hearing aid itself can’t correct directly to bluetooth
It looks like you have to buy a cradle thing for a smartphone called a Phonak Easy Call II. Seems a bit crude, but it would appear to be a solution.
@LRav you’ll need a receiver attached to your hearing aid.
Look for Roger 18 on eBay, they are so much cheaper.

Thanks for that I’ve just had a thought does anyone know if i’ll be able to use the Integrated receiver on my nathos auto m on my right ear with my cros 2 on my left ear or will it interfere with that or will i still be able to get the sound that it picks up on the left side and sends over to my right ear
No, the CROS aspect of your hearing aids won’t function whiles you use the Roger.
Thank you very much for the information I think i’ll make an appointment with my audiologist and get the adjustments done to the noise blocker and ask them if there is anyway they can make it so as i can clearly hear the voices around me without the roger first as at the minute i feel that the hearing aid is zooming in on the sound from either the person the directly in front of me or next to me and I find the only way i can hear and be able to decide what conversation to join in with at the table or whatever is if i turn to face the person who is speaking or move to be near them and that is not always possible depending on where we are and how easy it is to move around. It’s fine in a situation where say it’s me and just two other people i can hear them fine so i don’t know what the problem is with multiple people being around me talking and having different conversations… If there isn’t anyway to sort it out so as i can hear all the voices just as clearly as when it’s just two other people with me then i may consider getting the roger then.
So far i’m getting no luck in phoning to try and make an appointment to get some adjustments made and ask about the roger receiver/ select they gave another number to call which turned out to be for repairs only which is not what I need and i’m beginning to think my best option to get any kind of appointment to sort out my issues is to go there and try and make an appointment I just hope it turns out to be worth my time going there as i’m finding this just a little frustrating as i so much want to get these issues sorted out quickly as i believe i have a family reunion coming up at some point this month and want to get it sorted out before then so as i can make the most out of being able to join in conversations with more than just a couple of people and hear ok. Also I know that the nathos auto m is the right aid for my loss in my right ear but are there other options to closed dome like ric just so i know what to ask about as well as the roger receiver / select If they can’t do anything about it through software
I came to this discussion wanting a similar answer. I have the same hearing aids and wondered if there was a Bluetooth receiver that would then transmit sound via an induction loop to the hearing aids. My audiologist said there was, but I have been unable to find anything that is compatible with this model.
I also wonder whether the Marvel and B-Direct aids, which have integrated Bluetooth, give as good sound quality as would a decent pair of headphones, which would be a far less expensive option for listening to music, watching TV and even talking on the phone.
I tend not to use my hearing aids during the day as I am usually working at home alone.
I would be interested to hear (see!) other people’s experiences.
YOU need the Phonak ComPilot II to stream calls and music to your Nathos. I have the same aids.
