I have much better bone conduction hearing than hearing through the canal, I just learned. My new hearing specialist suggests that I try out the Baha or Adhear at the hearing aid shop that works with Kaiser to see if it works better for me. This would be for my right ear only. The thing is, this would also bypass issues that I have with spring/summer allergies wrecking my eustachian tubes and causing fluid build up. Anyone have experience or knowledge about these? I could go with either a wearable or an implant. Oddly the surgical implant may be cheaper due to insurance concerns. However I may like the flexibility of using my current aids or the bone conduction one.
I play classical guitar and my concern has to do with hearing my instrument well.
