So not exactly about hearing aids as such, but I am curious. I have cochlear Hydrops. I get lots of attacks at random where I lose more and more bass low frequencies. Each time I have an attack, i get another note of tinitus or an existing note is made stronger. I think I have between 8 and 10 frequencies of tinitus now spread across both ears. I also have rumbling tinitus that I can’t really call a note but it’s more like a jet very very very far away. hearing aids sort of disguise it, but I’m now wondering how many I might get before I die. Morbid I know, but it’s getting to the point where it’s hard to hear over them most times. Anyone else have this many individual notes? eventually I’m probably going to have to get cochlear implants and it’s anyones guess as to whether or not they will rid me of some of these notes.

My tinnitus is either white noise or pink noise depending on who you ask. But on a occasions I will hear a single tone in one ear or the other. The single tone is very rare. The white noise as I call it has been continuous since Thanksgiving 1975.

Yes I get multiple sounds depending I guess what’s going on.
I hear the rumbling.
I also hear a motor sound from time to time.
The only consistent sound is the ringing in my left ear
It’s at about 8K.

I have a pure tone type sound in each ear all the time, just the intensity varies. Also have a variety of tones that come and go, will “pop” on out of nowhere and burn for a while. Hearing aids have helped tremendously.
