I’m interested in hearing aids whereby I can have the software to program and fine tune them myself. Who makes such a brand? Where to get?
There is a DIY aera on this site : Hearing Aid Self-Fitting and Adjusting [DIY] - Hearing Aid Forum - Active Hearing Loss Community
Most of the major brands of HA’s are DIY programable , I have Phonak Luminity and Paradise aids that I selfprogram with the MFG. software called Target.
You need a Windows computer and a small USB atachment called a NoahLink wireless.
Also most of the new OTC (over the counter) hearing aid are also self programed,
Sony , Bowes, … there are many others : https://search.yahoo.com/yhs/search?hspart=infospace&hsimp=yhs-067&p=otc+hearing+aids+approved+by+fda&type=ud-c-us--s-p-jx6ymnm7--exp-none--subid-none¶m1=tdc9g133moqhtnflwlee38us

Isn’t a HA in your country a medical device? So you need a prescription…
Only play with your hearing yourself if you know what your doing, and I assume as you ask for you are informed and know what you do.
And as everything on earth there are illegal path’s even legalized for getting what you want as for instance eBay and others.
And even on the forum now and then someone offers them or asks for.
Most brands have doable self fitting solutions, some easier than others. The ones that are not usable are known by the DIY’s also.
