Hearing on my left side dropped dramatically on my KS10, checked the guard, which was full of wax. Made a hash of changing the filter using the dreaded Cerushield. Decided to change the receiver as I had spares, which were given to me on purchase. I’ve now also made a hash of that, even with using the correct tool The image below showing what popped out when pushing the pin, unable to see anyway to refit it. So I am wearing the aid now, but the receiver, although having a reasonable connection. is not secured to the aid.

Can the KS10 be upgraded to the receivers that use Cerustops (ike the paradises)? - I’ve seen some not-so-good stories about Cerushields around here.
Yes they can be upgraded : ( The Phonak Receiver 5.0, launched in 2024, provides a new and improved sound delivery system. These high-quality speaker units are designed to provide enhanced sound clarity. Exclusively compatible with the Phonak Marvel, Paradise and Lumity ranges of hearing aids.) Cerushield is a very poor design, the 5’s use Cerustop, which are much easier to replace.
