Cs44 cable with programming pill

Hello:
To everyone hello. Forums like this are very helpful.
I plan on buying GN Resound BE9. I found a speedlink on EBAY downloaded the software off Resound’s website and the speedlink seems to work fine. I got 1 problem. I need the CS44 cable and programming pills(connection to hearing aid). Does anyone know where I can get these?
Thanks to all in advance.
Leonard

I’ve heard of cables but what are programming pills?

It fits on the end of cable coming from speedlink and allows it to connect to resound BE9 hearing aids for programming.

Check with the two sellers of Hi-Pros on EBay. They have cable suppliers.

I tried but no cannot supply.

Why don’t you try at Singapore eBay
http://cgi.ebay.com.sg/Programming-c…item4cec00bd13.

The seller is selling all types of cables.

What a crook… $200 retail for cables that wholesale for $30 to $70. Ed

It is in Singapore dollars S$200. Although it may be slightly expensive, he has the source for the cables.

The BE pills are the third picture on your linked page, great find.
According to PayPal S$200 is $148.16 USD. Man, if the dollar keeps falling you’ll be able to buy a bushel of hundred dollar bills (US) for S$200!

1st Post, I am interested in online Be9 purchase, and wonder about the fine tuning.

I can get the software, but also need the cables.

What is the status on your attempt to program?

What is the speedlink description and model for a search phrase? What was the cost?

Will the Hi-Pro USB work.

Did you buy the Cs44 cable and programing pills.

So if I understand this, you need to connect the Speedlink or Hi Pro to your USB port, and then hook the cables and Pill ends and that is how you communicate with the HA’s.

Thanks,
BeNice

Huh? That’s roughly what the manufacturers charge the dispensers.

If I sell LOTS of aids I can get usually the cables free … but if I don’t sell many aids I have to pay LOADS.

Anyway, you can use that wholesale/retail price for ANYTHING.

Wholesale prices are usually around 33% of the retail price.

He will give you a packaged deal if you also buy the USB Hi-Pro. I got the USB Hi-Pro, the programming cables, plus the programming shoes (required for Oticon Epoq) for S$960 / $716 USD. After telling him what I needed he setup this auction:
USB Hi-Pro + programming cables and boots,

Update: The cables + boots/shoes portion of my order became unavailable. Though I received a refund for that portion. This is not easy. Though keep trying.

Hello and happy New Year to everyone:
I got my resound Be9 and speedlink interface but no luck so far getting the cables and pill. Can anyone on the forum help?
Thanks!

Of the 20pairs of standard Be7 I have in circulation at the moment, most users are on their 2nd pair, some are on their 3rd.

Most issues appear to relate to terminal receiver failure due to wax/moisture ingress. Some users also appear to cause alarmingly quick stress-hardening and failure of the microphone wire sheath. That’s in addition to the issues with the mic ports blocking.

Hopefully the MK2 Be will have these issues resolved. I’m pushing for a free upgrade for all my customers - if not the lot will be going back and they’ll get moved to Unitron Fuse.

Very interesting Um bongo. Good to know as GnResound is not big in Australia.

Might I ask where you practice from (Country/City)?

Um Bongo has his practice in a dark daunting part of the world where it rains all day, every day and they speak a very strange language and where they eat only leeks and daffodils.

Their principle export is drinking water which they send free of charge via pipelines to a large neighbouring country they regard with great affection.

My own Be9 experience (I’m on my second) is that they work OK for a while and then lose amplification. This unit has now gone the same way and has been back to GN and supposedly fixed.

They seem to still be able to create volume during the feedback calibration but just fail to make quiet sounds audible once the fault occurs.

So, my experience is they still sharpen up normal conversation suddenly my hearing threshold changes (quiet conversation, whispers, clicks, clocks ticking, quiet TV dialogue are all “lost”) once the fault occurs.

(the fault also signals a change in the sound of feedback - from a high pitch to a lower warble - and a sudden ability to use a mobile phone without causing a screech!)

I have found the mic filter responds well to careful use of a “rocket blower” (with the filter removed!) to unblock the 4 tiny ports.

On the plus side, the sound quality is extremely “clean” with both voice and music essentially unaffected by distortion of any kind.

Frustratingly close to a great solution!

What is the “Mark 2 Be” and is there any update on your solution?

Update: The cables + boots/shoes portion of my order became unavailable. Though I received a refund for that portion. This is not easy. Though keep trying.

PVC have you tried Hearing Loss Help Co?

In reference to your CS44 hearing aid programming cables. You might try HearSource (http://www.hearsource.com). They seem to be easy to deal with and been very accommodating with me.
