i have been searching for cs44 cables to connect a hipro to flex strips and i see most are red and blue but sometimes i see a just a plain black cable so my question is - are all the cables the same wiring inside and just colour coded to help the user define right/left and is a plain black cable just exactly the same as red/blue ??? - hope you understand what im meaning - thanks

a plain black CS44 cable have exactly the same wiring inside as red or blue cable !
The black cables comes normaly with red/blue connectors that you can differate Left or Right hearin aid

so in reality all the cables are the same just the coulor difference but all wiring is the same so in theory i could use 2 red cables ? thanks

Yes , all CS44 cables are the same and have the same pin-out wiring
CS44 cables are used for programming Signia, Rexton, Oticon, Philips, Widex …
But be aware that the CS44a cables are different in wiring , Pins 3&4 are crossed.
CS44a is for Sonova: Phonak, Unitron
