Does anyone know Resound TV Streamer 2 is expected to be available at Costco?
How does it differ from what’s available now to listen to the TV? I’m always looking for something better.
The Resound rep is in our building today. She told us it should be within the next few weeks.
Streamer2 has an optical input. It’s currently on the Resound site. I was told recently by my local Costco that they didn’t know when it will be available for sale. I like the concept of future proofing with the optical input but the current RCA-input works fine for me. I don’t know about any other improvements, such as range.
Thanks for your comments.
With some tv’s (including mine), the sound that is output from the analog (RCA plug) is slightly out of synch with the tv speaker, causing a wierd echo in the scound. The new digital model is suppossed to have some adjustment that will allow you to adjust the delay so that is matches the tv pseaker.
I did get a call from my local Costco and they are going to start getting these in the near future. It’s $20 more for the optical version. I had the impression they won’t be selling both.
I need to decide if I should “future-proof” my setup and get the optical version. I don’t get a delay with the analog version, but I’m underwhelmed with the distance. I haven’t seen anything in the resound specs that would lead me to believe the newer version has a stronger signal, just the optical input.
The stremer is available now at a cost of $259.00.
