Costco Kirkland Signature 10.0 (Product Information)

Wish I had that problem. LOL Costco opened a store 100 miles away. Before that it was 160 miles.
You can go to either at any time after you get them.

I’m exactly at the center of 5 Costco locations around 160 miles in any direction.

I get double beeps - fairly loud, mid to high pitched, same pitch every time - a couple, maybe several, times a day. It does not seem to relate to battery level, phone activity, or anything I notice. I do not have such a sound selected for anything on my phone. All I can think of is if the app or phone is connecting or disconnecting. It certainly is not the musical phrase I relate to that, or anything I do intentionally such as changnig programs, adjusting the volume, or muting. It is not the battery beep, it’s a much higher pitch and louder.

Does anyone else have this issue? Any explanations?

Do you have a TV connector ? Mine makes a sound when I come with-in range of that.

Nope. It happens at 2 different hospitals (work), at home, in the car, watching TV, using computer.

Sometimes the volume seems to go up momentarily, sometimes not.

I thought I originally posted this as its own topic, including Phonak P90 in the title since they apparently share a lot of electronics and firmware. Somehow I guess the admin moved it here?

Looks like the masks may be coming off soon … or in the near future. California is slow and has placed a date of June 15, and I am guessing there will be many that will be slow to remove them. I thought my word recognition was much better than it actually is. This was brought to my attention when masks were mandatory. I need both - I must see what they are saying. I came from a family of 11 children, and, although I was always the kid left on the hearing-test bus, my parents said I was “smart” and would learn my way around. I did, but I truly wish I had learned to sign or something. At times, I feel pretty isolated even with hearing devices. Thank you for your response. : )

Hi MikeinOhio:
I am happy to hear that the KS10s are working so well for you. I am still in the KS9s, but only because I live so far from Costco, and it has been difficult to get down there. I am going to try to go back to something with MFI (Made for Iphone) connectivity. These are horrible. I am randomly disconnected all throughout the day. When I stream music, I can only have the volume so high, or they become crackled and distorted.

Talking with a representative at Costco, they mentioned that Resound still carries a line with MFI and the use of replaceable batteries, which I prefer.

Thank you for your response. : )

Anyone know if the Phonak power pack for the Paradise 90 is compatible with the KS 10 charging case?

Yes, it’s been mentioned above!

I just picked up my KS 10.0s yesterday and have a few things of note.

  • Costco will not program Tinnitus (was told that is just something Costco doesn’t offer)
  • Sound Quality when streaming music via BlueTooth sounds terrible (sounds like an AM radio)
  • App is really slow and has to find the Hearing Aids every time it is opened / switched back to
  • Audiologist didn’t program TCoil Program (Will be having them fix that at my follow up appointment)
  • Charging Case is high gloss and top lid has rubber, the bottom is hard plastic
  • Single CeruShield Disk V2.0 included

Also learned that in Oregon, Real Ear Measurements are required by law.

For better streamed music quality you’ll either need them to give you more occlusive domes and/or increase the bass. Probably best to start by increasing the bass.

Your aids really look nice. The entire set up is nice. Thanks for the pictures.

Everyone is different about apps. I personally don’t want to use them unless absolutely needed.

The aids have the potential to make music sound great if set up correctly. Your 30-40 dB hearing loss could use more occlusive acoustics like double domes or even custom earmolds. Maybe one size bigger domes like the ones you have now. Earmolds were a huge improvement for me, music was great with similar aids as yours.

I am surprised that I can even listen to music …it sounds fine to me. My custom molds are perfect.

I just watched a movie on my computer via Hoopla courtesy of my local library. The sound was clear and seemed to be stereo.

I was debating on picking up one of those. I have a 20,000mAh External Battery that I could use in a pinch. It is hard to justify when you can get a larger capacity Anker power bank for less.

I am noticing that when I insert the Domes, sometimes they pinch the tip and it muffles the sound quite a bit. You mentioned cShell or Ear Moulds, my hearing loss is mild to slightly moderate, does it even make sense over a Dome?

You might want to start another thread for this.
Lots of opinions on how to deal with this.
The only way to know is experiment with different acoustics and tuning for your best fit.

Day 5 with the ks10’s. Costco fitter did a great job programing them. Real ear mesurement was done carefully to within 2 db as that is costco standard ,requirement, (may have been 4db’s).
This is my 5th set of hearing aids over 25 years and it is by far the biggest improvement. My last set 3 years ago brio 3 r’s.
For the record from above I was able to do the tinninus with programing softwear I bought. It was, as mentioned, in the global tab. It just a “ppuushhhhhh” sound and do to how load my ringing is it did not help.
Oh the phone out of both ears is like hearing in the brain!
This site has been a big help for me…Thanks

I’d love some more information regarding this software, how it works, what it costs, etc. if you have the time to share.
