I used the Kirkland signature app and tried to connect my phonak p90s and it said they were not compatible devices.
My aud setup a custom program to enable the tinnitus program and set it up with white noise mask that I can raise the volume on as I want from the app.
I also had her setup a setting for boosting frequencies that are damped by wearing physical masks and I have that option. Phonak published settings for that
I am not sure why they were whistling in the charger. When I put my KS10’s in the charger they turn off and charge the battery. As for the batteries, I have not had any problems with them going dead and I use the tv streamer most of the day to stream music from my work computer. I have a pretty severe hearing loss and have been wearing hearing aids for almost 40 years and they are the best hearing aids I have ever had. I upgraded from the KS9.0’s and those were the best I have ever had.
There have been some questions about wind noise with the KS10’s. I spent yesterday on the lake on a boat. The only comment that I have about wind noise is, “What wind noise?”. Yes, you can hear the wind. You are supposed to hear the wind! It isn’t overly amped, and it isn’t annoying. It sounds quite natural. So much for the nay sayers.
The wind noise is an issue only when the wind hits the mic openings at a certain angle. If one’s aids are covered by hair, sweat band or something else or one is just lucky, it won’t be an issue.
After the follow-up and finetuning I am extremely happy with my purchase. I wear them about 17 hours a day and still have plenty of residual charge at the end of the day. I believe that they have improved my speech recognition over my KS8s. Being able to tap my ear to answer my phone is extremely slick. In addition, the Bluetooth connectivity is rock solid. I open my phone or iPad and they automatically connect. I’m still waiting for the TV connector and the Powerpack.
When you are out on the water, you get wind from every different direction, with no problem. The KS10’s are very much better at handling wind noise than the KS9’s.
I’m thinking of returning my ks9s and getting the ks10s also. what’s the process do you have to return the ks9s and get a refund and then turn around and order the KS10s?
Just a reminder to use your Costco Visa card to purchase your KS-10’s and get two additional years of warranty for free.
Good info, Thanks! Do you know if the K10’s can use a Paradise charging case?
That’s my understanding.
Does anyone know if Costco can provide the Phonak custom titanium ear molds with the KS10?
I can’t say for sure, but they couldn’t with KS9. Options with KS9 are silicone or acrylic. Price is roughly $40 per mold. No extra charge for remakes. They keep trying until you’re satisfied.
In my case, the Hearing Aid center handled the whole transaction. She actually had to walk me and the 9’s to customer service for the refund action and then we walked back and got fitted. My 9’s were only about four weeks into the trial.
That is exactly what happened with me. I had the refund put on a Costco gift card and then paid for my new HA’s with that and still had over $100 on the card.
What programming software did you use for your KS10?
KS10’s program with Target 7.1
I had to comment on your comment regarding hearing in this time. Between the mask and the plexiglass barrier, its a real challenge to hear anything. I at times say that I don’t hear well and most people are obliging to repeat. Sometimes they even pull their mask down to give more clarity. I don’t read lips but commented at the start how hard it must be for those who do.
no, there slightly thicker…i tried
The person at Costco today said it was rechargeable only.
