Stopped off at my local Costco and asked if there was any news on new Sennheiser hearing aids.
They said they were expecting a new model eventually but that it would be a longer wait than usual–perhaps another year. They said there was a new model available, but that they were going to wait until the next model. I have no idea what or if that means anything but it sounds hopeful for there to eventually be another Sennheiser (Sonova) model.
Also of note and I have no idea if this is specific to their store or is part of their overall model but they are phasing out the desk person and will require an appointment for a cleaning.
Looking forward to the next Sennheiser aids at Costco.
It would be either Phonak, Unitron or Hansaton. We can hope for the Sphere’s but who knows. I believe one of our pros mentioned Unitron getting the Sphere technology pretty soon. Fingers crossed.
I too think the new Sennheiser aids at Costco would be sooner than a year. Time will tell.
I was in my local Costco for an annual retest. When we got to talking about upgrade options, the audiologist said they Sennheisers were good aids but my KS10s were very similar and still worth keeping.
On a new model, the view was next year at the earliest. Nothing more than guesswork but…the Sennheiser is still fairly new in the great scheme of things.
The Costco people I’ve talked to have always said they get very little notice of new products. So I recommend taking this timeline with a grain of salt … it’s probably a WAG, which is way less reliable than a S(cientific)WAG.
