I have been trying to make a hearing appointment at my local Costco but they never answer their phone and offer no message service. May I ask how others contact the hearing department? Not sure this is the best introduction to their way of doing biz. Tnx
My local Costco sometimes answers the phone, but I can leave messages and they always call me back.
Perhaps call the main number and express your concern to the general manager on duty.
I had to go to the store in order to make my initial appointment. I could never get someone on the phone.
Recently, I have been called back several days later after leaving two ans machine messages on different days, but most Costco hearing centers are swamped and those who drop by in person are most likely to get a person. To speed up the process of getting new HAs when you schedule your 1st appt also schedule all followup appointments.
My Costco hearing center never answers their phone. They do have a voice mail system, and they do return calls within 2 business days. Even though the store is open and the hearing center, they do not count Sat and Sun as business days, ha haaa. If you aren’t too far, stop in to make appointment. Mine is 45 mins drive one way, so I phone.
Thanks for the replies. And good idea making future appointments at first visit. I can get thru to a store that is farther away so will have to go that route.
Considering the number of Costco out there this is a very small amount. But still frustrating
In Houston, Tx I have two that I go to and both answer promptly and I can drop into either as needed with no problems.
The Southampton Costco here in the UK, answer their phones altho it’s been a few years since I went, so things might have changed.
My Costco Hearing Center always answers their phone, takes a message for my fitter, and she calls me back with 2 hours or less. Never a problem.
The Costco Hearing Center where I am located is so busy they can’t keep up and they have 3 providers. They answer the phone when they can but are good about returning calls. They really need to hire a full-time receptionist but she is only part-time at the Costco right now.
It’s obvious that all Costcos are not created equal. Are there other Costcos in the area
In my case if costco audiology doesn’t pick up the phone I leave a message phoning to general information or optical.
Ok. So I called the Costco that is further away and to my surprise they answered the phone and have appointments available within a few days. This Costco Hearing Aid Center also has different hours than my local one, 10am-8:30pm. Thanks for the replies
I called and left a message for my Costco fitter late Tuesday this week. Needed a fix for hellish feedback from the left side aid, and #3 wires for both. She called me back Wednesday around midday, and set an appointment for later the same afternoon. All fixed!
Certainly not the norm, but they aren’t all non-responsive or booked till Christmas.
She is my second Costco fitter. The one who sold me the aids was terrible!!
Call Costco directly. No sure which costco you’re talking about, but Costco will remedie your situation. You can also e-mail your issue to them.
