Connecting Roger On to DVD player

Our home ‘TV’ is an Internet enabled projector but an extensive library of DVDs has prompted a desire to have a player again. I’m keen to have a player that I could plug the Roger dock into - however…not many new DVD players seem to have Optical/Toslink ports (none that are inexpensive).

I note there’s adapters for RCA to Optical - has anyone any insights/experience with these as a means of connecting Roger to home cinema kit?

Have you tried using a HDMI to Audio Analogue adaptor to Roger Dock?

Is it for DVD movies, connected to a TV?

It would be a DVD player connected to a Samsung projector. The projector has Bluetooth and I can stream to my HAs but it kinda only works when I’m watching.

I hadn’t known this existed! Ok, potentially an option.
