I have the aids connected to my Android phone ok.
Should I be able to connect MyPhonak to an Android tablet at the same time?
I was trying, but could only get one L or R connected separately, but never together.
Both devices are running Android 10.
Quick update 5 minutes later: I tried streaming from the tablet just for the heck of it. SURPRISE. BOTH L and R are playing the stream in spite of the MyPhonak saying one side was not connected. My connected BT screen on the tablet says only the L device is connected, i.e. “LE_L-Phonak hearing aid.” Is this a common occurrence?
On the tablet, the MyPhonak does not now allow any access to controls, e.g. “volume”, etc. Only shows BT trying to connect screen. I already rebooted the system - same result.
I wonder if I should remove and reinstall the app. - perhaps it’s corrupted?
I’ve read that BT connects only one HA to a device (usually the right HA, designated by fitter) and transfers signals to the other HA. That’s why the device shows only one BT.
On my Samsung phone under blue tooth it says R Phonak hearing aids and then under that it says LE R phonak and under that it says LE L phonak. On the app it shows 2 seperate hearing aids
Also I have a Samsung phone and I have a Samsung watch and I find the watch interferes with pairing. I have to unpair the watch and turn it off because it seems to interfere with pairing both aids. Once the aids are paired I can re pair the watch and everything is fine
I also have a Samsung phone and watch. I haven’t noticed any conflict or interference with the Phonak app and BT that I am aware of.
I do notice tho, under certain situations when I’m playing/surfing with my phone the aids monentarily kick off and on. I think that may be when I’m streaming from Pandora at the same time I’m surfing.
Well I’m trialing a pair of naida paradise UP at the moment an on the blue tooth only phone it just says R phonak hearing aids… The ones I mentioned previously were naida marvels. So there you go
The Bluetooth to your phone is the R Phonak, unless your fitter set up the left aid as the master. If you carry your phone in your left pocket it might be good to have your fitter select the left aid as the master.
The LE if there is the app Bluetooth, not the Bluetooth for your phone, laptop etc.
I know it is confusing but that is how it is.
