Connecting Phonak Naida P90-UP with Target software for the first time - How to do it?

Hello Forum.

I did just went home from the hospital where I was given the Phonak Naida P90-UP. They Audi at the hospital did an OK job tuning them, but I would like to make some adjustment and see what else the HA and software can offer.

I’ve downladed, installed and updated too Phonak latest Target software from a link from one person in the Forum. But I’m afraid of getting to deleting all the setup on the HA when I connect the HA to my computer.

Does anyone have a guide or can tell me how to connect and already adjusted HA to the Target program installed from home? I’ve been searching on forum but without a positive result.
I have my audiogram, do I need and how do I insert the data from that diagram? Or are those data also logged onto the HA directly? As you may can see I’m total new to thing HA DIY programming, but I want to explore the program combining with the Target software.

Connect Aids, then exit and save. That way you have a saved session on your computer.

Before connecting Aids, open the software and learn what’s there first. It’s pretty easy and flows quite nicely.

Hi Zebras. Thanks for reply. So Ill need to save the session on PC, HA or both when connecting first time?

What about audi diagram. Can you quickly explain that aswell?

Don’t need to save to hearing aids, just to your computer. If you don’t change any settings, it won’t select to save to Aids.

Obviously the audiogram is there otherwise you’ll Aids won’t be amplifying the sound you need.

Ok. Ill give it at shoot👍 Otherwise ill reply in this message

You should be okay. I’ve been using Target software since 2011 but it’s quite an easy software to use.

Also a new Kirkland KS10 user looking to learn more about customizing my HA. Nearest Costco, where I got them, is 1.5 hours away so I probably won’t be getting there too often. Is there someone who can tell me how to get the Target software? Also it looks like I’ll need an iCube II or Noahlink. Is either one easier to use?

Glad to find this forum!

@gary4

iCube II won’t work.

EDIT - This is only the platform names that the iCube II will work with. As you can see Paradise is not included.

Well, crapola. No wonder I can’t get them to connect. That’s why I searched and found this old Thread.
So, then:
If my iCubeII (at least it didn’t cost much, thankfully) is useless now that I’ve gotten the Naidas, what do you recommend I buy so that I can get into these things? I DID note that my Audi friend was still using the Target software, but obviously not the iCubeII since he didn’t hang anything round my neck… I just assumed that he’d gotten yet ANOTHER new toy and didn’t mention it.
Mostly I just want to lengthen the time from activation to insertion, like I did with my older Phonaks. Well, maybe a couple of other things as well. But they aren’t even connecting so once again I’m grateful for this Forum.
Thanks in advance

If you select your hearing aids within the software, it’ll let you know all the stuff you need to know, to program them.

I found that section of the program, set it to my exact model. Then it says what you’d already advised:
“Fitting device is not compatible”. Nothing else that tells me what I need to know, to access the aids.
Any thoughts regarding what fitting device I’ll require to get into these hearing aids?
Thanks hugely

Apologies, but I don’t understand how a brochure is helping me. I need to be able to get into these aids with the Target software and be able to make changes to it’s settings other than volume and switching between programs. What am I missing, with the link that you took the trouble to post? Thank you for posting it I just don’t understand it. I actually HAVE that brochure. Picked it up at the audi’s office. I’m also having the handheld remote delivered. But it’s not going to help me with what I’m needing, at least not that I’m seeing here. Thanks again
EDIT: Found a reference to Roger receivers, or maybe receiver (singular) but that seems to be something that attaches to the HAs and not the computer. At the audis, he simply put the HAs into my ears without attaching anything and then adjusted them that way. I’m missing something, like usual. I appreciate everyone’s help but mostly your patience with someone whose brain is deteriorating. I’ve had more concussions/skull fractures in this last year alone, than a boxer or an American football player. Remembering an old IT joke though: Customer says to IT guy, “Look just explain it to as though I were a 12 yr old” and the IT guy responds “Sir, if you were a twelve year old, I wouldn’t NEED to explain this.”

I haven’t been following the thread. I thought you needed to know which programming device to use, which the brochure explains. You can experiment with Target somewhat prior to obtaining a Noahlink Wireless device. See this guide if you haven’t already. https://www.phonakpro.com/content/dam/celum/79884/PH_UserGuide_Target8.0_210x297_EN_V1.00.pdf

@PlasticMask1

Step 1: Create an client entry in the database ( for yourself)
- open that client
Step 2: check that Noahlink Wireless is selected (see blue arrow)
- click on the symbol to change the programming interface to Noahlink Wireless
Step 3: click on Connect (see red arrow)

Tried the noahlink idea already, it doesn’t work. Found a link to dl the driver installer, but it still wants the noahlink thingy. Guess it’s back to eBay?

Are you saying that you have a Noahlink Wirless, and it doesn’t connect to your aids? You might ask your Audi what they use, and or see if there’s one of these in the vicinity while being fitted. It’s about 3" tall. Noahlink Wireless – HIMSA Guessing from pg 13 fitting matrix in the brochure that the UP can connect to a wired programming device as well, but you would have noticed that.

Not at all. I didn’t have one. I have an iCubeII. As I’d said above, which revived this thread, that since I had searched and found this thread saying that the iCubeII won’t work on my new HAs, what do I do? I did however just purchase a Noahlink Wireless on eBay; it was even cheaper than the iCube was. Once I get THAT, I assume that I won’t have any more issues.
Thanks everyone for the help!!

Naida Paradise and Naida Marvel can be programmed via Noahlink Wireless and also via cables. This hearing Aids have a connector for CS44 cables in the battery compartment.
The Naida aids can wireless programmed with the Noahlink Wireless programmer device , and could be programmed via HiPro or MiniPro.

I’m too old and WAY too shaky to be able to use those. I sold my big bulky Hi-Pro and all of it’s cables (yes, I know that it has a wireless loop cable, but I never bothered with that) years ago for that very reason, and got a completely wireless system once I discovered that it existed. But as I’d said, the Noahlink thingy is on it’s way now, and I am VERY VERY grateful for everyone trying to help me. Heck I wouldn’t have even thought of GETTING a Noahlink wireless if I hadn’t joined this Forum and if you good people hadn’t helped me. So thank you all, “big time”.
