I started to experience some weird issues with my Signia Pure charge&GO 7ix T since the weather is warmer (and even during the winter at home).
They frequently stop working and the tehnician says its because of condensation/sweating.
Arent these devices weather-proof? I mean, it seems that these devices are for interior only? (kidding)
Is it normal? Any way I can avoid this issue?
Get an airtight clean jam, Put in Dessicant and keep your hearing aids overnight. Dessicant will keep the HA’s dry. Or buy a HA’s air dryer from Ali Express.10-15 USD.
Used a soft tissue to wipe the sweat off the HA’s is a way to keep it dry.
No it’s not normal at all, they shouldn’t “just turn off” I’ve owned a lot of HAs (and still do) and I’ve never had this, those are IP68 so are pretty much waterproof, I’d go for the overnight dry store as mentioned.
I have had 7ix T for about 4 months and haven’t had any issues. I wear them while I work out which can get quite sweaty. I have had Signia 7ax T for 3 years before that, even wearing them for some full marathons, no issues there either.
Have you checked the basics, like receiver connection, wax filters, otherwise ask for them to be sent back to the manufacturer to check why, hopefully you have a spare set or your audiologist might have some to help you along.
