I just had my yearly appointment with my audiologist and after he reprogrammed my hearing aids according to changes in my hearing test, he was about to pair my ComPilot with my hearing aids when he discovered that there was a firmware update available from Phonak. He proceeded to update my ComPilot and when I fired it up I found that it was a totally different instrument! They have cut down on the length of voice cues. But the main change is the speed with which it obeys button commands. And after using it for a couple of days after the update I am convinced that the BlueTooth connection is much stronger then it was before with longer distance allowed between transmitter (TV Link) and ComPilot before it breaks up.
