Then unpair the connect clip, it isn’t needed on your phone.
The Campainion app updated again this morning. The updates are coming much faster and I expect that companion app itself will be updated soon. If it contains all of the now present beta fixes it will be a much better app, but still not great.
Hi,
New user here. Got the Oticon Own 1 ITC. Bluetooth is abysmal so far (Samsung S21). Just downloaded the Beta, hoping it is an improvement.
Do you know if they are directly rolling successful Beta app changes to the main Companion App?
The last update to the companion app itself was back in September. I am hoping the app updates soon
Yes I did, hence my quip above about no hands-free for me.
The other option is unpair the aids from the phone and just use the connect clip. But to be honest with my S23 I can have it both ways, but I don’t depend on the app either.
Right, your S23 Ultra @ 12k$ vs my Pixel 5a @400$, but yeah using the Clip that’s the only way I can escape having to have my phone with me everywhere.
I only open the app to remind me which program I’m in, occasionally.
I just have the base S23, with trade in of my iPhone 13 minu I paid less than 500. And I would have given my iPhone away or thrown it away
Ah, sorry, is it your wife who has the Ultra, or am I mis-remembering?
Either way, the S23 is way above the P5a.
Funny how you’ve soured on iPhone!
My wife has a Samsung Note 20 5G, she has been offered a trade up to a new phone and she doesn’t want to change. I personally wish now that I had gotten the S23+, I could have used a little larger screen
My companion beta app stopped working last night and is no longer available on the Google Play store. According to a message i got this morning the companion app should update on February 29th. This update will include support for the new Oticon aids being released. Oticon has a conference scheduled for next week in California to inform audiologist on the new aids. This information comes from my VA audiologist.
The IOS 1.3.0 Companion app was released today I’m sure to provide support for the new HAs. They introduced night mode (a dark color scheme) that can be selected via Settings on IOS. Also the ability to get charging information while the hearing aids are in the charger but only for the Intends. Some bug fixes including connectivity according to the installation screens…. Hopefully it’s an improvement.
Not available yet for Android
I quit pairing my Mores to my phone, and just pair the CClip.
Very great stability, and of course, can’t even use Companion, but don’t miss it much.
Wow, I have an appointment on the 19 March, so maybe they’ll have some info.
I have every INTENT to upgrade after the usual VA contract in May or June.
Actually with my Samsung S23 i find that my More1 aids are more stable connectivity wise than my Real1 aids. I am back using the companion 1.2.2 app. It is almost stable. By the way the new Intend aids have contact charging and only have a desktop charger that looks somewhat like the smart charger. I don’t see me gettimg the Intend aids as i just got the Real1 aids this last October. And I am very satisfied with having my Real1 aids and having my More1 aids as backups. There would have to be some really substantial improvements for the VA to approve me getting the Intend aids. But I have said that before about the More1 to Real1 aids.
I am disappointed with the charger change that Oticon has made but it is Oticon’s call and not mine.
I read about the new charger, and I agree about the contact charger change , and incompatibility with the smart charger is a loss.
The Philips hearlink 2 app just updated on android to 1.3.0. so I would assume it would be avalible for oticon and bernafon. Fingers crossed for better connectivity and less crashing.
