I got new Phonak Paradise P90-RTs about a month ago. Last week the audi performed a firmware update and I installed 4.0.4 update. After I got home I noticed that all my old custom programs were missing. When I try to make new custom programs and try to save I get a Save Error message saying that the program cannot be saved.
Anyone else have this problem. Any suggestions on how to fix. I contacted my audiologist and she doesn’t know how to fix. Says it may be program bug that will be fixed in another uppdate.
I’ve ssen this error message when trying to save a custom program. I disconnected “R-Phonak hearing aid” BT. It seemed fine after this.
had some problems with the app on my Link M phonak’s after the app updated itself. It wouldn’t connect properly (or show my custom programs). I had to clear the app’s cache fully and repair the hearing aid to get it working with the app again.
I’m just curious. Does the myPhonak App do your CI as well or is there a separate App? (I realise your CI and HA link together.)
When I get the new Marvel CI I’ll be able to link and control the two together using the “AB Remote” app, but for the moment the Link M hearing aid is separate, and i use the myPhonak app to control it.
Tried that and about everything else I could think of. After last re-install and reboot I don’t get the error message but app disconnects and doesn’t save.
I wrote Phonak support about it. will post whatever they say.
Are you saving to the app or to the hearing aids? The ability to save to the hearing aids is a brand new feature only released last week in MyPhonak app v4.0.4.
Make sure you have the current version of the app. If you haven’t already tried this I would recommend unpairing your aids from the app, delete the app, download the new app and re-pair your aids.

I don’t see any option about where to save.
I contacted Phonak support who were no help. Just told me to take the HAs back to the provider for “reprograming”.
Don’t forget, everytime you reboot, “R-Phonak hearing aid” reconnects. Make sure it is disconnected when you open the myPhonak app.
The myPhonak app connects to “LE_L-Phonak hearing aid” and “LE_R-Phonak hearing aid”.
Having the same problem. Lost 6 custom programs and can’t save any new ones. It appears it is trying to save the programs to the hearing aids and not the app on the phone?? Liked it much better before update. Any Help out there?
Thanks Bouldrange. I was beginning to think it was just me with this problem. Phonak support and my AUDI are trying to say its because I have too many (more than 10) custom programs already. That’s even after I told them that I have zero, no custom programs. There are a bunch of “fitted” programs so maybe the app is applying those against the limit? My AUDI is not responding to most recent email messages, last one requesting an appointment to have the HA looked at. Guess I’ll have to make phone calls.
I have the Phonak Paradise (Audeo P-90s), the 4.0.4 app, and the latest HA firmware as of a couple of weeks ago. I just started trying out the Custom Programming options today. So far the problems have been:
(1) every Custom Program seems to be based on the “Music” program. I have not found an obvious place to use a different program as the base. The “My Hearing Aids” selection shows all the programs, including a list of Custom Programs that have been added.
(2) several times I have gone back to check a Custom Program and found it really did not save or update the last adjustments I made. No error messages.
I have not seen the problems reported in earlier posts.
Je viens de regarder rapidement. Le programme apparait plus précis, et en français pour moi (une évolution). A chaque rubrique une page explicative apparaît… Et il est indiqué que l’on peut maintenant enregistré les programmes personnalisés dans les appareils…

@brian_s. I just checked - I can save custom programs and recall them at will. The custom program is based on whatever program you are using when you start to customize- so maybe you were in the Music program at the time ? I am using the Android version of myPhonak. I don’t think any of the “fitted” programs count against the 10 custom programs at all. Not sure why anyone would need as many as 10 custom programs ……
Oh, and btw, I have not yet had the firmware update… so I guess it’s possible that would change the behavior but I doubt it - it took long enough for Phonak to bring out 4.0.4 so you would hope they tested it fully … lol
The myPhonak app does not connect to “R-Phonak hearing aids”. Go into BT settings on your phone and make sure it is disconnected at time of saving custom programs.
Hmm… why do you say that? I certainly do not need to disconnect anything in order to save custom programs. Custom programs are saved in the hearing aid itself, so if BT is disconnected how can that happen?
I am using the Apple version. I thought the program I am in should be the custom program base, but that does not seem to be the case. Going to keep playing with the update. It does seem to give the user more choices.
The myPhonak app connects via BT to “LE_L-Phonak hearing aid” and “LE_R-Phonak hearing aid”. It does not need “R-Phonak hearing aid”.
It’s just my experience when I had “R-Phonak hearing aid” connected I was getting error messages when saving custom programs to my hearing aids.
There are 3 distinct BT connections:-
LE_L-Phonak hearing aid
LE_R-Phonak hearing aid
R-Phonak hearing aid
The first two BT connections are used by the myPhonak app.
The third BT connection is used for streaming.
