Can Phonak Marvel connect to Bluetooth TV?

It is an infrared LED on the phone. You download an app and you can remote control any TV (or whatever) with it. On my last phone, you could look at the TV brand and enter that in the app, then you could control the TV without any more knowledge. I used it in waiting rooms and areas to turn on the Closed Captioning for the TVs in said waiting areas. It was fun. Of course you could often change channels too.

Phone companies are now finding it too expensive to provide useful elements on their phones (replaceable battery packs, headphone jacks, IR Blaster LEDs, etc). My previous phone had ALL of that.

Might be worth a look to see if there is a video delay setting. Some AV devices (Audio Visual) have this to account for lag due to various reasons. Not sure how consistent Bluetooth is behind though (in milliseconds). It would be crazy to sell a BT TV without being able to adjust this.

I thought, I would pass this little bit of info along. Google Chromecast the lastest version has Bluetooth. I got last night and works pretty good. Still learning. Probably the biggest benefit is relearning not only hearing but a lots of things in our adaption of hearing aids.

Thanks for this information, it’s very helpful!

She was trying to purchase the TV connector at Costco but they told her they wouldn’t sell it to her unless she bought the hearing aids there. (She has Phonak Marvels).

I know I bought a hearing accessory from Costco at one point and I never bought aids there, has anyone else ever just bought a TV connector for their Marvels at Costco?

Our location in San Antonio Texas will not sell accessories unless you buy the aids from them.
I bought my wife KS9 aids and a couple months later I went in to buy a TV connector and they said no. My response was “I bought the aids”. They ordered the TV connector.
Different locations might have different rules??

I guess if they refuse to sell it to you, you could say OK, I’d like a pair of KS9s and a TV Connector and return the KS9s.

Not sure if she’ll wanna go through all that but it’s a good suggestion! Thanks!
Does anyone know if you can replace the charger that came with it with any micro USB charger? Her charger has been misplaced and she’s looking for an alternative. I know quite often I use the top of my iPad charger with a micro USB cord for charging devices and it works. Not sure if it would mess things up though. Here are the specs.

My other post was a bit confusing. The charger info I’m looking for is a replacement for the Phonak Partner Mic not the TV Connector.

Would any charger with a micro or universal USB 1 AMp, 5 V work as a replacement without damaging the mic? If not, where could she get a replacement charger?

My only suggestion would be her audiologist, but wondering if that’s necessary. Here are the specs:

PartnerMic uses USB-C connector (not micro USB) I can’t guarantee it, but I would think any charger with a USB-C cable attached would work. My choice would be to use a name brand charger and not a generic one. However TV Connect uses micro USB.

Can confirm. I have a bunch of samsung chargers and some braided cables I like, and I charge all my devices with them, zero issues. Roger select and pen goes in there as well.
