Can anyone tell me what TMRIE means on my reciever wire packaging?

Hello

My hearing aids are Resound Linx Quattro 961 rechargable. They do not have a telicoil.
The disposable battery version of the Linx Quattro 962 DOES have a telicoil.

I have replaced the reciever wire on the left one but the sound is much louder and there is a buzzing vibration that accompanies high frequency sound.

The reviever wire is a genuine GN Resound, Surefit 2C 3 MP reciever.
Purchased from an Audiologist ha supplies company here in the UK and is exactly the same model, power level and cable length as the original but the sound is much louder and it buzzes.

On the reciever wire packaging are the letters REC TMRIE, SF2C, MP3L.
Could the T in TMRIE stand for Telicoil Reciever in Ear?

Is it possible that my reciever wire is compatible with the Linx Quattro telicoil model and not with my hearing aids which have no telicoil?

The ha supplier company has said that the increase in gain and buzzing suggests a higher power reciever than the hearing aids were programmed to use.

All thoughts welcome.

Microphone and receiver in ear.

No nothing like that, there’s no such receiver for t-coil, they are all the same, surefit 2, so there is, as mentioned the M&RIE receiver but this wouldn’t fit your old linx Quattro models, so here’s what I’d do, swap the receiver’s around and put the new one in the right side to see if you still get the this effect, fit the right side to your left and check it’s not the HA.

The model of reciever I have does not incorporate a microphone in it.
The MRIE model came with the Resound One hearing aid.
My hearing aid and reciever were designed before resound made that technical development .

I will try that later today.
Hearing aids are incredibly frustrating pieces of equipment.
Is it possible to say for definite that changing a reciever wire that does not have any smart features (eg a microphone) will not effect the hearing aids programming?
I’ve had so many people reply to my question on other hearing sites saying I’ve wiped my hearing aid settings which is rediculous.
Thats like saying you need to change your cars fuel injection mapping if you change a tyre.

Bang on, yeah don’t worry you’ll be able to change without having to reprogram them, so long as it’s the same Power level you’ll be fine.
