So do you guys also hear buzzing noise when you put headphones on?
I have never considered using headphones with HAs. Seems to me it would be quite cumbersome. Before I got my current aids that I can stream directly to I would remove the aids and use ear buds.
I get a warbling sound. I’m assuming in both our cases it’s the feedback control mechanism kicking in. It’s not bad enough to stop me using aids and headphones together for watching tv.
I have some high frequency sound when I put my headphones. I think that some high frequency has been a little hogher than it should. Try playing with your EQ on your phone (if you have it)
Mytech9999 … one of the programs for my HA’s is setup with a Music setting. I copied that Music setting to another program slot and then reduced the volume on it to where I wouldn’t get any feedback and it works great and it’s not cumbersome at all. I’ve got Signa Pure 7psM HA’s and use SONY MDR-7506 headphones. Been using this setup since I got my HA’s in 2017.
I am very new to HA, in fact it’s my 2nd day, I don’t know how to change the programs, but it looks like I can change them via app which apparently doesn’t keep the settings. How do you change programs without an app? I have KS 9
You can create a custom program, give it a name and SAVE. That way I can be more specific- a different program for each restaurant I go to frequently. I expect eventually I’ll be deleting as my ears/brain get happier together.
Good luck,
Nancy
I would suggest that perhaps the Telecoil function is being triggered by the magnetic field that the headphones present. I had the buzzing and the warbling both happening when I put the headphones on and had my audiologist take it off automatic and transferred to program mode. Now they do not come on automatically when I put on my headphones. But when I want the telecoil to come on, I have to push the program button first. For me that is less hassle.
