Broken receiver wire

Over my vacation time my left hearing aid wire decided to break. The actual wire is still intact but the plastic around the wire end that attaches to the receiver is broken completely. I have it held on by tape at the moment, the sound still works and I haven’t found any issues but got scared I would end up with the receiver broken off in my ear.
I have ordered a new receiver since my actual daily used aids dont come in until mid September from being serviced but any suggestions on things I can do?

Maybe a bit late, but… have you tried a tiny droplet of epoxy? It’s a resin that comes in two component. You mix them, and the you can apply a minuscule droplet around the broken plastic. You can do it maybe with a toothpick.

I hope that helps.
