Broken Phonak Roger On In and new roger on in reciever questions

I had a roger on in that is no longer functional. Got a new one on ebay that has 1 receiver (the 03 type receiver). Myphonak app shows HAs have 2 Roger 03 receivers. My question is…
If my roger on in has 1 receiver, can I transfer one of the 2 roger receivers from my hearing aids in to the roger on in(HAs now have 1 receiver Roger on in has 2 receivers)…
then transfer a receiver from the Roger on in back into the HA I just transfered the reciever out of so the new roger on in is connected/paired/hooked up to the 1st HA(HAs now have 2 Roger On in has 1)… then transfer the receiver from my 2nd HA to the roger on in(HAs again have 1 Roger on in has 2) then transfer a receiver from the Roger On in back to that 2nd ha, connectingbthe new roger on in to the 2nd HA ? Leaving my HAs with the 2 recievers needed, connected to the new Riger On In and my Roger on in with 1 receiver still stored. Or is this not possible?

I guess another way of wording this is… Do roger on in recievers(03 receivers) that started in a Roger On in(that’s no longer functional)… that had already been installed / transferred in to a set of HAs(everything worked) have to both be transferred to a Roger In mic(with 0 receivers) at the same time(one after another without interruption) before transferring both recievers to the HAs at the same time(one after another without interruption)?

If no is there an app I can use to remove the 1 receiver from the Roger ON In which will save that 1 receiver in the app, or the cloud, or elsewhere maybe?.. so there is enough space in the Roger ON IN to remove the 2 recievers from the HAs at once (not literally at once, because you have to do them one at a time, but transferring the 2 to the roger in before 1 gets transferred to a HA then the 2nd out of the HA to the roger in… and then back to the 2nd HA)?

If you’re setting up a new Roger on in that has two of the 03 receivers and your HAs still have the receivers from an old roger on in that is no longer functional… you have to transfer the roger recievers that are in the HAs out right? Whether that means transferring them into a Roger in device with enough space to hold them or(im guessing) using an app to remove them, or unpair them and loose them, is this correct?

Sorry for the crazy long question any help is much appreciated.

Just leave the receivers alone unless you are going to newer hearing aids. The receiver license isn’t tied to the Roger at all. Just hit the pairing button on the new Roger to connect them and away you go. You are making this hard for nothing.

Wow, I am confused. I think you are saying you need one or more Roger licenses. If that is the case, as @WhiteHat says, don’t worry about transferring licenses from anywhere. Just download Roger Upgrader software from here, (go all the way to the bottom of the page) Hearing Aid Microphone - Roger Upgrader | Phonak connect your Roger On iN to your computer and run the software, select “Read Device Data” and if your Roger On iN does not have two licenses in it, there will be a button to replenish the licenses.
BTW, what seems to be the problem with your old Roger and what have you done to try to fix it?

Once you have Roger licenses in your hearing aids, you do not need additional licenses e.g. for an additional Roger On, Roger Select or Roger Table Mic II.

If you already have receivers in your one pair of hearing aids, because you had a Roger mic which went bad, you are done. Just connect the aids to your new mic. You need two and you have two plus whatever came in the new one. But don’t mess with the receiver licenses at all.

If the premise is different, you have new aids too, or something like that, then that is a different case.

Thanks everyone! I was making it more complicated than it needed to be. I have another I purchased and It connected but after 2 or 3 days the firmware update symbol came up. Atleast thats what I think it is. It’s a box(or cube)with a downward pointing arrow on top… the USB symbol… then the battery is the bottom of the 3 symbols. Short pressing the pon button does nothing, same for pressing it for 2 seconds… those symbols are stuck on the screen ehen turned on when off and charging it shows the battery symbol charging like normal. I read in another thread a person had this tried to update it and it bricked. I have a short window to return it what should I do?

I updated my Roger on v1 (not an in model) a few weeks back and it was painless. Not sure what to say about your mic. Maybe call phonak?

Did your Roger on have these symbols indicating a firmware upgrade was needed?

No. I saw someone mention it here. I downloaded the updater and used a usb cable to update the firmware on my son’s windows machine.

It had some crashes now and then. The screen looked like Chinese or something when that happened. Say I had it in the dock and started audio playing the same time as I put power to the dock, it might crash. It doesn’t do that anymore. Plus you get the wide pointer mode.

Hope you get it sorted.

As I think about it, the mic has no way to know anything about availability of updates. It isn’t like your cell phone. It doesn’t have that functionality.

I think that symbol just means it has a USB connection, I.e. your computer if you are charging it, You might try resetting the Roger by holding both the front button and the connect button together for 10 seconds.
