I paired and connected my recently purchased Kirkland KS10 aids to my Android phone and to my low latency Tao bluetooth transmitter on my TV. I’m quite satisfied with how it is working except that the aids themselves don’t seem to have a low latency capability which causes the the sound to be slightly out of sync with the speaker’s lips which is tolerable, but it is also out of sync with the speakers in the TV. I’ve dealt with the latter problem by biasing the sound curve so that it increases audio and decreases microphone (so I drown out the TV speakers). Unfortuantely the decrease in microphone makes it much more difficult to hear what is going on around me (like my wife talking to me). When I used to use a low latency bluetooth receiver paired with the TAO transmitter I did not have this problem. Does anyone know how to resolve this?
The latency is within your bluetooth transmitter, not your receiving hearing aids. I have found a couple of different bluetooth transmitters that have near zero latency, but they are pricey. Your TV often is not the best option for low latency transmission. TVs with best options have a latency adjust option because low latency still does not mean no latency.

Buy a TV Connector. It doesn’t work on Bluetooth so doesn’t use one of your Bluetooth connections.

Zebras (or anyone), can you tell me a bit about the technology that a TV Connector uses? And how well does it resolve the latency problem?
It’s a type of LE Bluetooth.
