Thanks… I do have Oticon 3.0 TV adapter for my TV … it’s awesome… I may try to find another one for my laptop as I really don’t want to have to disconnect from TV all the time…
For what it is worth. I have a Lenovo Ideapad330. I just tried to pair my TruHearing Premier 5 L-ion hearing aids. They paired at first but then popped up as not paired. On the. On the Settings menu in the upper lefthand corner I typed “hearing aids” and up popped a message from the Assessibilty settings: Your PC does not support LE Bluetooth Audio hearing devices. Since my HA do not connect with my android phone I use an intermediary device called a Streamline Mic. This device does connect to my laptop (I actually did it earlier today). So, I am going to bet your laptop does not/will not support your hearing aids. But I have been known to be wrong before.
I have ConnectClip for Oticon Intent … it will connect to my ideapad5 and stream to my aids, but no one else can hear the audio… too bad it’s not easier but I realize LE audio is new …
It’s pretty hit or miss when searching the various manufacturer sites… wondering if anything that has bluetooth 5.2 or higher can be assumed to support LE audio?
No. BT 5.2 or higher is necessary but not sufficient.
No problem, it’s pretty confusing, tbh!
Oh I gotta go, the USA vs Chechia game is almost ready to start
It looks like to me that EVO PC’s can broadcast Auracast/LE Audio.

Apologies for not being clear. Several people (including me) in the same room using one laptop to connect to zoom. From what I’m reading there basically is no way for me to stream zoom audio to my hearing aids but allow the other folks to hear audio - again - all using one laptop.
That is true and the nature of Bluetooth to keep things private or to not disturb others. Only auracast can provide audio to more than one at a time and auracast is still new and not in wide use.
@menglxs TY! Mouse definitely had/has something to do with the bad audio quality. Without the mouse connected by BT the HA streaming does appear to be stable & work well. After trying it with no BT mouse & just trackpad, I have a Logitech so tried the Bolt dongle instead. Appears to work fine. Thanks again.
Thanks. I think I understand now. Was thinking LE audio and Auracast were the same thing. Always learning!
Have you considered putting zoom also on your phone and using it while others listen to the laptop.
I did try just using audio on my phone but there was a terrible echo when others were talking, etc… I may try the Zoom audio and video I guess and see how it is… just wish it were easier…
If they are using speakers (laptop or external) to hear the audio even if you use your phone to connect to the Zoom call and then connect your hearing aids to the phone you will get feedback / echo. As I posted above your hearing aid mic will feedback room audio back in to the room audio if unmuted. Only way would be if the you can disable the hearing aid mics in the zoom call (look under Zoom audio settings for the microphone input) and then use the same mic everyone else in the room is using.
I’m wondering if the edumic has a slight worse performance in audio quality than the Oticon TV adapter 3.0?
Looking at the spec sheet for both devices, it seems that the EduMic has an audio bandwidth of 9 khz max via telecoil, and the Tv adapter 3.0 has an audio bandwidth of 10 khz. I don’t know if this difference in audio bandwidth matters all that much though.
With my severe hearing loss I prefer the sound of the EduMic when used with my Fire Tablet and the 3.5mm audio cable. But to be honest I don’t have a music ear and never have.
Not familiar with EduMic… I do have connect clip but others can’t hear audio when I use it… is EduMic the same thing (eg only goes to your hearing aids?)
Yes it sure is, and to be honest what want isn’t possible at this time. It may become possible in the future with a wide adaption of auracast. But it isn’t good to happen today or tomorrow.
Thanks… I have zoom later today so might try connecting with my phone for zoom audio, then putting the phone in another room to see if it helps with echo, etc…
If necessary lower the volume on your hearing aids’ microphones. I am not talking about muting them but just lower a level or two
