Bluetooth and Marvel Phonak problem

What happens with phone calls - do they come through your hearing aids OK? I have the same aids as you with an iPhone X but have never had this problem. Are your aids connected to bluetooth via Fixed Bandwidth or Adaptive Bandwidth (although I think is is more to do with Bluetooth phone calls). This is found in the App Under My Hearing Aids - then bluetooth phone call. If its on Fixed then try Adaptive. Anything is worth a try to fix your problem. Something you don’t need with all that we are going through at the moment.

We? What is this WE Kemo Sabe? It seems you are in new Zealand, the place that is doing the best in the world right now - a place i would go if you would let me in.

Haha - certainly being an island nation has helped. It hasn’t been easy being in Level 3 and 4. A totally different way of life at the moment.

For the iPhone you have to pair through the blue tooth settings. The Phonak app only connects for changing programs, volume or seeing battery life.
First you have to put the hearing aids in the charger (briefly) then after turning Bluetooth on, take your hearing aids out and put them in and search. It will only show one hearing aid paired up, but you should still be able to hear sound through both when streaming.

Yes that’s what I have done now. I deleted the myPhonak app and just paired my aids using iPhone Settings -> Bluetooth. It found the Right HA. And I can now hear audio when streaming. I used to use the app all the time to check volume and battery percentages. I don’t know why it doesn’t work anymore. If I install the app I can no longer pair the HAs. I’m just not going to use the app for awhile until I can see my audiologist.

seliles, I don’t know if anyone gave you an answer that works yet, but I have same problem with my Starkey’s and finally figured out how to get it to work. Tho I haven’t figured out why it is happening almost once a day still. My audi couldn’t help and called Starkey whop said to reinstall app. That didn’t help either.

What I do when my app shows one or both aids not connected is to turn off Bluetooth on my iPhone, then turn it back on after 5 - 10 seconds and the 2 aids always reconnect and I can listen to my music on my walk. I don’t know why it seems to disconnect overnight almost every night. So I automatically do the bluetooth thing every morning when I wake up. I’m looking forward to getting new HA’s, thinking it was a Starkey problem, but Phonak Marvel is what I was going to switch to!

I wear the Phonak Audeo M90 RT aids. I do not have any Bluetooth issues at all but I do not use or have the MyPhonak app on my Samsung S9 phone. From reading posts on this forum the app seems to be just about the entire issue members complain about. Not saying most people with the app have problems but Bluetooth issues sure seem to follow the app.

I’ve tried all of that as well. For the past few days I have been using my HAs without using the myPhonak app ( I deleted the app). I have been able to pair them using my iPhone Settings -> Bluetooth.

So just now I again tried reinstalling myPhonak app. It found only my Right HA when pairing. So I deleted the app again. Now I can’t even pair them using Bluetooth iPhone Settings. I keep getting the following message:
“Pairing unsuccessful. Make sure “R-Phonak hearing aid” is turned on, in range and is ready to pair.”

Thanks for trying to help!!

I’m just tired of messing with it. At least my HAs work! I can live without Bluetooth for awhile.

I tend to agree with you. What’s so strange is that it has worked fine for me for about a year. I don’t know if it’s something I did or what. When I feel safe enough to venture out to audiologists office I’ll see if she can figure it out. Still being very socially distant here!

I would ask what has changed? Has there been app updates? Has there been smartphone OS updated? What about other apps that use the Bluetooth also? Or other devices the smartphone or aids are connected to?
Sorry folks am a troubleshooter by training and also trade.

Phonak Audeo Marvel M90-R
Android Google Pixel 3 XL
myPhonak Android app

App and Marvel firmware are always up-to-date. (I self program.)
I have no problems with the above hardware and software.

Me too. Never had a problem with Bluetooth and love the app. Paired to both iphone and ipad for 6 months without ever losing a connection. Works perfectly.

I should add that I recently purchased my first Apple device, an iPad Pro 1TB and no problems there either.

I have been having the reverse problem with my HA’s, I can no longer hear the tones or sound from my iphone X, when I text, send email, open phone, etc. I can get some calls that go to my HA’s, but the phone no longer has an audible ring. Tried, unpairing and re-paired, deleted app and re-installed. Reset HA’s, so now when I play back my voicemail from phone, it is stuck on playback through HA’s only, it will not switch to speaker or iphone. UGH!. I have Phonak Audeo M70-R.
Help! This just suddenly started doing this since Sunday night.Help!
