This cold and flu season I seem to be dealing with a mass of variable mixed losses, retracted eardrums and other middle ear trauma.
Please could you indicate if you’re one of the people who regularly blows their nose to temporarily relieve their symptoms. It appears to be rife amongst the people who call in for wax removal too: as they can’t discern what’s causing their underlying loss.
Mine is not from blowing my nose, but a bathroom problem, a bit of a strain on the left eardrum. I then use the valsava maneuver to make it pop. Is that the right or wrong thing to do?
Apparently, not recommended if one has had cataract surgery (intraocular implants) either. I did not know this until today. I often do this if I have an bit of an earache. Yikes.
