BJ's Hearing Aid Centers

I am currently looking into purchasing my first pair of aids. I have an appointment at my local Costco. Just became aware that BJ’s now has some HA Centers and the only one in NY is in my area. I made an appt there also. They don’t have as many choices as Costco. They have the Rexton Motif models. I can not find any mention of them on Rextons website or anywhere else. Has anyone used BJ’s? Does anyone know what Rexton model the Motif is closest too? They range in price from $999 to $1399 each. The top of the line (Level 1) seem to have all the features of other top of the line aids. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

BJ’s hearing aids are similar to Rexton’s Strata, Finesse, and Accord products.

“Rexton top of the line” is like saying “Kia Luxury Cars”… I’m not trying to be negative, and for those prices I’m not even suggesting that they are not a fair value, but keep in mind that Rexton devices are all fairly entry level. They may have a lot of features, but how they implement those features may not result in the best hearing. If you are shopping on a budget, by all means, give them a try, but while you are trying them, make sure you go EVERYWHERE you might want to go in your daily life and make sure you are reasonably happy with how the devices are sounding to you. Also make sure you are very confident that the person who fit the devices is really taking good care of you and knows their stuff. If they ONLY know about the devices they carry and not about competing devices, that is a red flag that they are just a salesman spouting the party line.

Assigning different names to the same product is a marketing ploy. Think mattress stores.
