My GP (Internist) wasn’t happy about it but did it. Now he does it with my hounding. My ENT is happy to do it anytime but then he gets a specialist billing to boot. Sometimes even runs me through his audiologist.
I have the home kit. For me it doesn’t work well. Never had a problem until I reached the 70’s. Seems to go with the other things nature throws in.
The first thing to go is the eyes, then the ears and I can’t remember what the next thing to go is/was!
I use Debrox when I get excessive wax buildup in my ears. It works well for me, even though I too am in my 70s! And it’s a whole lot cheaper than going to the ENT, albeit Medicare and Tricare pays for all of the ENT’s charges. It takes me longer to get to the ENT’s office, 40 minutes, than it takes me to clean my ears with Debrox, 30 minutes!
