Last Wednesday I had an appointment for an earmold impression. I’ve never had it this deep and this is the first time I’ve been completely deaf during its curing. It’s also the first time in my 25-year adventure with HA that I’ve had an extra impression with my mouth fully open (I have almost a 1 cm - 10 mm difference in the entrance to the ear canal between the closed and open jaw states).
However, I am a bit annoyed because I requested as small a vent as possible (and even no vent at all), and only after I got back home did I realize that they filled in AOV in the SDS 6.0 form…
And I should get SDS 4.0/SDS 5.0, because I want to try a new mold first with my Paradise, and if it is good, later with Sphere.
I will visit them with the form just filled by me, I hope they wouldn’t take it as an insult. 
Other characteristic:
- titanium, possibly long (first time, always had acrylic skeleton)
- deep enough to be in bony part of ear canal
- extended (longer) removal filament to pull off the cShell
- extra retention (rougher titanium surface for better grip)
