I have 2 TV Streamers, which is the max i believe, already paired to my aids/app. Can i also add an Auracast transmitter? I have never connected to an auracast transmitter so unsure if possible. Tnx
What brand and model of hearing aid are you using?
Sorry, should have included that. Jabra Pro 30
I’m going to assume that this is for a third TV set. I would think it would work, but you will probably have to select the broadcast in the phone app.
Order one of the cheap Homespot 210 v2 transmitters from Amazon, and try it. If it doesn’t work, then you can always return it to Amazon for a refund.

Let us know how it goes, as someone else will have the same question.
Yes, 3 tv’s. I know i cant have 3 tv streamers connected and yes, thats the auracast transmitter i have in my Amazon cart. I already have a soundbar connected by hdmi and it only has hdmi pass thru. I imagine i will need some kind of splitter to get a feed to the transmitter but not sure which kind i will need.
Tnx
Jabra and Resound are basically the same hearing aid, made by the same company.
Here is what I found

Yes, ReSound TV streamers, like the TV Streamer 2 and TV-Streamer+, utilize Bluetooth technology, specifically Bluetooth Auracast, to stream audio from devices like TVs to ReSound hearing aids. This allows users to turn their hearing aids into wireless headphones and enjoy a clear, private listening experience.
Elaboration:
The latest ReSound TV streamers support Auracast, a newer Bluetooth standard that enhances connectivity and sound quality for streaming to hearing aids.
- Wireless Streaming:
The TV streamer acts as an intermediary, receiving audio from the TV or other audio sources and wirelessly transmitting it to the hearing aids.
- Private Listening:
By streaming directly to the hearing aids, users can enjoy their shows or movies at their preferred volume without disturbing others, creating a more personalized listening experience.
- Compatibility:
ReSound TV streamers are compatible with various ReSound hearing aid models and can be used with different audio sources like TVs, computers, and stereos.
- Ease of Use:
The setup process is generally straightforward, often involving pairing the TV streamer with the hearing aids and then connecting the streamer to the desired audio source.
- Benefits:
Streaming audio to hearing aids can improve speech clarity, reduce listening effort, and enhance the overall listening experience, particularly in noisy environments.
- Direct Connection:
While some modern TVs have built-in Bluetooth, it’s not always compatible with hearing aids, making the TV streamer a reliable solution for direct streaming.
Not quite true. Only the TV Streamer + uses bluetooth. The TV streamer 2 uses FM. See below…
The Resound TV Streamer 2 primarily uses a 2.4 GHz radio frequency, not standard Bluetooth, to transmit audio to hearing aids. While it is often referred to as a Bluetooth streamer, it utilizes a proprietary protocol within the 2.4 GHz spectrum to achieve a higher bandwidth and lower latency than standard Bluetooth, ensuring a clear and lag-free audio experience.
Here’s why it’s not just Bluetooth:
- Higher Bandwidth:
The 2.4 GHz frequency used by the Streamer 2 allows for a wider range of frequencies to be used simultaneously, meaning more data can be transmitted at once, leading to higher quality audio.
Thanks for the information! I have the Roger On charging station which can be used as a tv streamer, and it somewhat similarly uses a proprietary radio type signal instead of Bluetooth.
