Hi, I was suffering with tinnitus so I went for an assessment at Hidden hearing.
Diagnosis was moderate hearing loss (LH) and mild hearing loss (RH).
The Oticon intent was suggested but I decided to have a look at other options.
I went to the local Specsavers and was advised to try their elite range with the Signa equivalent being most suitable for my hearing loss with additional tinnitus programs.
The trial latest about a but the tinnitus function wasn’t that great due to the Bluetooth dropping out (I have an android phone). The audiologist said this might be due to the version of Bluetooth used (LE rather then classic).
I then was was given their Phonax equivalent to try but the set I was given wasn’t great as the RH hearing aid didn’t hold charge and was very crackly, which leads me to believe it was a new set. I have an appointment today to discuss this but overall my experience with Specsavers hasn’t been that positive.
My 100 day trial ends 1st October so I have decisions to make.
Im tempted to try the local audiological sciences to try either the Oticon or Phonak hearing aids and just pay the additional £800 above the cost of the Specsavers Elite range.
What are AS like to deal with ?
How is the after sales customer service?
