I’m a first time user, here. Hi to all.
I’m going through my first hearing HA journey, and it’s been quite bumpy. Generally , I have moderate hearing loss in the mid to higher frequencies. My present audiologist has had me in Lyrics (not good at all for me due to fit and sound quality), Starkey IICs, and now Starkey EDGE AI mRIC. The issue is never being able to gain clarity over just ramping up volume. They are tiring to wear, don’t improve life by hearing softer, higher frequency female voices, over my natural unaided hearing. I’ve been back to the audiologist 6 times, they tweak adjustments, then send me on my way to try. I can determine if that has improved my experience within a few days, but then the next available appointment availability is a month away. It’s now at the point, I don’t wear them, for the above reasons.
If anyone has experience with a Wisconsin audiologist with Starkey experience, I’d love the help with a recommendation, or if any of you can provide some guidance in what to do, a very large thanks.
