I was issued with new Danalogic GN hearing aids 2 days ago, All the way home the sound in my ears was very different. The car indicators were loud clicking compared to the previous muted clicking. After about 2 hours the sound in my ears seemed to have reverted to the usual. This morning I switched on and heard every rustling page turn of the book I was reading. This only lasted about 15 minutes. I church I switched to the induction loop setting and heard no difference,
Is this normal? How can I check they are working properly? I see my audiologist in about 3 weeks.
I’ve had 2 pairs of Danalogics. The first set for 5 years, they were fine. The second pair which are the 77’s, I’ve had lots of problems with especially in the car, lots of electrical interference and clicking from the indicators, also revving of the engine. Check to make sure you don’t have the Tcoil switched on , which is two beeps. Otherwise takes a while for your brain to adapt.
I meant just make sure the aids are not switched on to telecoil when not required to be. You only use it when there is a loop system in use at the bank or post office, church etc.
