Sorry if this has already been discussed.
I’ve never received any sort of Notification to “clean” my HAs. In the MyPhonak app I have it set to ON and frequency every two weeks.
So it’s been about 3 years since I’ve cleaned them because I’m waiting for that notification to arrive.
Although I have never seen it notify me. I check the setting a couple of months ago and turned off, because I clear them almost every night.
I’ve had the entire guts replace on previous HA’s a number of time because they were ‘rusted out’ from sweet, so I clean regularly.
I clean mine every night so don’t need an alert to tell me.
The long term averaging might be detecting that the mic output is down.
I’d get them serviced as the goretex filters may have blocked at least partially.
