Any Size Difference Between Phonak M and P Receivers?

I’m a longtime CIC user that recently got fit with some RIC Phonak P90’s and I’ve been struggling a bit with comfort in one of my ears. It feels like the plastic body of the receiver is sometimes digging into the side of my ear canal and it becomes uncomfortable after a while. I was looking at pictures of the different receivers and it appears that the M receiver is smaller in diameter than the P receiver, which may help the issue. Is this true?

Also, for some reason my audiologist fit me with P receivers. I’ve been looking at the fitting ranges for M receivers and my loss appears to be well within that (see screenshot). Can anyone comment on whether an M receiver is appropriate for my loss? Is there a standard “extra margin” that you leave in the fitting range?

Yes the M receiver is smaller than the P receiver.

No idea why you were fitted with P receivers at all.

It’s an M receiver all day, though you wouldn’t be far over the smallest one either.
