Any ideas on Phonak Virto Infinio Hearing Aid release date?

I’m looking at the options for a rechargeable ITE hearing aid that I can pair with my iPhone and Apple Watch for streaming audiobooks and these seem like a suitable candidate.

Has anyone seen any notion of a release date for these or know of a similar product.

They’re coming and I believe worth waiting for. The delay is because of the big demand for the other Infinio models. All the tech issues with Virto are resolved and production is ready to go after things calm down. Right now Sphere and RIC is taking up production. I’ve had impressions taken and am waiting.

Has anyone tried this Virto Infinio in meantime?

These have really fallen off the radar haven’t they. They were due out in Nov and my audiologist tells me Phonak came back saying no idea of release date. I did consider the Starkey genesis range for ITE devices but I would like the ability to tweak them with bluetooth etc. I’m excited for these as they should be the 1st fully functional in the ear devices. If we ever see/hear them that is

Recently I talked with Phonak in The Netherlands. They said that the Virto I-Titanium and Virto I-10NW will be released on 16 January 2025, and the Virto I-R after the summer 2025.

I assume the r stands for rechargeable? that’s interesting if so that they’re still making battery operated models, I thought they were phasing all those out now. I wonder if the battery operated will also come in titanium or if that would make any sort of difference to the size.

Virto I-Titanium and Virto I-10NW are battery models, the Virto I-R is rechargeable.

I sent an email to Phonak asking for a status on the Virto Infinio R release date and received the following response:

Hello John,

Thank you for contacting Phonak. We understand your question about the Virto Infinio hearing aids.

We would like to share with you that we are not able to provide any news or information about the Virto Infinio on the rechargeable variant.

We apologize for the inconvenience. Our advice would be checking with your audiologist from time to time in case this is already released.

Please let us know if you have additional questions.

Warm Regards,

It’s been a long long wait but I’m still going to get them when they finally arrive. Got 2 other aids while I’ve been waiting, Sony OTCs and Lumity 90-312s that will be good for backups.

I’ve been thinking recently I might just go for the disposable battery model in the virto range those are out now. I don’t really want hthe batteries but they wil go deeper inside the ear canal and should provide better sound localisation for me. The rechargeables do sound good though I hope they come out soon for you.
