Android phones with NHS Oticon Engage?

I recently bought an older, reconditioned iPhone so I could stream through my NHS Oticon Engage bte aids. A friend is insisting his Android 14 phone sent him an update and the info about it suggested many Android phones would now link with any hearing aid. I suspect not but does anyone have any information on this? Thanks!

Hi
Maybe have a read of this Bluetooth support for Android smartphones - #52 by user990
But the short answer is that most likely you need a recent top end Android phone to get hands free calling.

I don’t think that is correct regarding Android 14, you would probably require a Oticon connect clip to stream from an Android phone. Higher end Samsungs S22/S23 Google Pixel etc will if your aids are LE compatible. I think the Oticon Engage are MFI (Made for iPhone)
